Becoming a friend of SNO is encouraged but not required to access and enjoy the winter trails. If you are not able to fully cover the friend of SNO fees, think about paying what you can by making a one-time or monthly donation to SNO.

The difference between non-voting associate memberships and memberships includes: (1) voting rights for members; and (2) members support cross-country skiing advocacy groups Nordiq Alberta ($12/yr) and Nordiq Canada ($10/yr) for cross-country skiers, which support SNO in a variety of ways, including insurance. Fat bikers that get a full membership will help support SNO with fat bike insurance. Most importantly, becoming a friend of SNO helps SNO be financially self-sustaining and supports initiatives to improve trail users' experiences.

Note that these fees are not tax deductible but tax exempt donation to SNO can be made. Friends of SNO subscriptions are auto-renewed on an annual basis after an e-mail reminder.
